As for FF6, the only new additions are four new espers, a handful of new spells and equipment, and yet another bonus dungeon. FF4 allowed you to change characters for the final dungeon. But somehow, the extras added to the GBA version are somewhat underwhelming.
This isn’t really a bad thing, since FF6 looks pretty good to begin with. Unlike the GBA ports of FF4 and FF5, which boasted redrawn terrain, FF6 looks practically identical to the SNES version. Even though the platform is essentially dead, they’ve finally wrapped up Final Fantasy 6, the last of the SNES trilogy and widely regarded as one of the best RPGs ever made. It’s been quite awhile since Square-Enix announced that they’d be porting the SNES Final Fantasy titles to the GBA.
